I mentioned my grandparents last week. For my lazy Friday blog, here is my grandmother’s University of Michigan ID card from 1940. Both sets of grandparents went to Michigan, met each other and got married. Then each couple moved to Birmingham, where they lived a few blocks and one school system apart for 20 years, at which point my mother and father went to Michigan, met, and got married in that second picture.
Also Michigan Alums: My great great grandfathers, my great grandfathers and maybe some of my great grandmothers, all but two of my aunts, uncles and cousins, and ME.
We like Michigan, I guess.
1940 version of University of Michigan’s MCard. Also the Dean of Students (Joseph Bursley) at the time is the namesake of Bursley Hall on Michigan’s North Campus.
